In partnership with my client - a leading ICT original equipment manufacturing (OEM) company based in Cork and one of my key clients, we have a position for a Supplier Quality Engineer for a 9-month fixed-term contract position.
This is a 9-month fixed term contract role and will work on-site in manufacturing operation in Cork (final assembly & test) and will be responsible for managing quality assurance and driving quality process improvements.
For this role my client is seeking strong Quality Engineer with track record of auditing suppliers of electronic products (e.g. PCB's, Cabinets, Peripherals, etc) using quality process improvement tools (ideally using FMEA's, CAPA's and Six Sigma/Lean methodologies).
The role will require approx. 30% travel throughout Ireland & Europe.
For this role we require the following:
• Ideally 3rd level qualified - Degree or Diploma
• At least 5 years quality engineer experience in a multinational environment - ideally multinational electronic manufacturing (or similar)
• Lean & Six Sigma experience - must be able to display that used these to improve processes and efficiencies (i.e. scrap reduction, right first time increased yield, etc)
• A track record of conducting supplier audits and improving quality systems within supplier/vendor sites
Salary of c. €40,000 - €50,000 (pro-rata for 9-months).
My client is going through huge growth at present with profit increase of almost 30% in 2011 so there is a strong chance that this will go permanent or there could be a potential future internal move as working within a large manufacturing group.
