At Pharma-BioServ we are recruiting a SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST/ENGINEER to join our existing team in the R&D department of our medical device client in Cork.

Role
  • Provide scientific and technological leadership in advancing the “state of the art” of the existing Investment casting process and non-destructive inspection technologies
  • Comply with all EU FP7 Marie Curie project reporting requirements.
  • Implement design for manufacturability in new process designs to minimise lifecycle cost
  • Full project management responsibility
  • Identify appropriate resources and technical requirements .
  • Contribute towards the development of advanced investment casting related manufacturing processes i.e. Wax, Shell, Casting, Finishing, Inspection etc.
Experience
  • PhD in Material Sciences / Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years experience working in an Investment casting process (after PhD).
  • Experience working within a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience collaborating with academic institutions
  • Experience with Integration of R&D Programs into Manufacturing Operations
Please note that if you are interested in the above position you cannot have resided or worked in Ireland for over 12 months in the last 3 years. This is a requirement of the European Union.
