The Role
To work with internal business customers and IT supplier partners on a variety of projects to define, analyse and document business requirements to the appropriate level which will enable the business and IT supplier partners to develop business and IT solutions.
To oversee the development and delivery of the complete solution (Business and IT) to ensure that business requirements are met.
Key Accountabilities
The responsibilities of the successful candidates will include but not necessarily be limited to the following:
* Perform requirements elicitation using a variety of methods such as workshops, interviews etc.
* Document detailed business requirements according to Company methodologies.
* Understand customer's objectives, processes and products in order to make educated recommendations.
* Ensure all requirement documentation produced is of a high standard and that all necessary reviews are performed and approvals received.
* Take ownership for requirements from initial analysis through to sign off and support of IT delivery.
* Work with colleagues in multiple locations in a collaborative manner in establishing business needs, and in identifying and helping to resolve potential risks and issues.
* Work to tight deadlines and on own initiative to meet project deliverables
* Support the Subject Matter Experts in development of estimates and validation of supplier's estimates
* Perform quality review checks on project deliverables.
* Work with our suppliers to design and deliver IT Solutions ensuring that the delivery is aligned with business requirements.
* Facilitate business owner involvement and approval of IT solutions
* Support application testing, implementation and training activities.
Skills and Experience
Technical Competencies
* Currently operating as a Business Analyst and/or have a minimum of 5 years experience in analysis or a technical development role.
* Strong Life Insurance industry knowledge.
* Strong experience of working as part of a business analyst team on large and complex projects, impacting multiple business departments.
* Working knowledge of LiFE system desirable.
* Cross border project experience preferable.
Non- Technical Competencies
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Good listening and questioning skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Good business knowledge.
* Ability to work under pressure
* Demonstrate integrity, working at all times lawfully and in accordance with pre-defined regulatory, compliance and financial requirements
* Working at all times in accordance with procedures, group/company policy, processes and controls e.g. the Internal Control Framework.
Other
Some travel, including occasional international travel will be required to fulfil this role.
