Assistant Manager - Navan / Louth

Our client, a leading Irish retailer Non-food Fast Paced Retailer are currently seeking new Assistant Managers to join their expanding team in their navan/drogheda branches

With a variety of stores across Ireland we are looking for an Assistant Manager to support their store manager with all aspects of managing a large successful business.

You will have experience in store management / Assistant managment of high turnover retail, 20+ staff members, have gained excellent commercial and operational experience within a structured environment.

Requirements for Assistant Manager

  • Grocery managment, supermarket management, Big Box Textiles or Non - food management
  • 2-3 years retail management experience within a high volume retailer
  • strong operational and commercial experience
  • Managed a large team and big spaces
  • P&L experience
Responsibilities: Assistant Manager

  • To deputise for Store Manager in his/her absence, assuming full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the store as detailed.
  • To support the Store Manager in ensuring the store reaches its budget figures as set out in individual store profit and loss accounts.
  • Day-to-day operation of shop floor including staff, cleanliness, stock and customer service
  • Stock control for the store including responsibility for stock takes maintenance of automated re-order system, cleanliness of back up areas and store promotions.
  • Assist in ensuring discipline of staff is maintained in accordance with Company policy.
  • Actively develop junior members of staff by coaching as part of their daily routine and developing specific skills through on-the-job training.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company health and safety regulations.
  • Standard of operational efficiency achieved and maintained.
