We are currently seeking an experienced QC Analyst for a multinational pharmaceutical client, based in their solid dose manufacturing facility in Cork. This is a 6 month contract position on days but there may be a requirement to work 2 or 3 cycle shift according to business needs.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Analysis of raw materials, in process and finished product samples in accordance with laboratory schedule
  • Analysis of samples in accordance with SOPs and standard methods
  • Calculation of results and reporting of data, including trend analysis as required
  • Execute analysis of water, cleaning samples etc as required
  • Execute validation studies and transfer studies to ensure equipment, methods and personnel are appropriately qualified.
  • Participation in QC and site projects by representing QC so as to provide an appropriate service to other departments.
  • Participate in the preparation of QC documents including SOPs, specifications, methods.
Requirements include:

  • Degree (Hons) in a relevant Scientific discipline
  • 2yrs+ experience in a chemistry lab within the pharmaceutical industry - solid dose experience would be an advantage
  • Excellent HPLC experience
  • Lean manufacturing experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work on one's own initiative
