A leading Irish energy provider, Bord Gáis Energy is responsible for delivering gas, electricity & home team energy services to over 1,000,000 industrial, commercial and residential customers. Applications are now invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Marketing Communications Specialist reporting to the Business Marketing Manager.
Purpose:
The Marketing Communications Specialist will work with the Business Marketing Manager to deliver the current communications requirements for the business market. The key output is the development of customer centric marketing communications that supports the product & services portfolio. The successful candidate will own the end to end delivery of content & creative development, working with internal stakeholders and marketing communications agencies. This is a 4 month contract which involves the delivery of a number of workstreams. The successful candidate will be a motivated self starter who can manage multiple projects to tight timelines within budget.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Identify gaps in current communications portfolio and develop a plan to address them
• Manage the briefing, creative development and production of a full suite of marketing communications content
• Manage key internal & external relationships
• Partner with our agencies to deliver best in class communications
• Manage operational budget to ensure that all projects are delivered within agreed budgets
Qualifications and Experience:
• 6+ years experience in marketing communications roles
• B:B experience essential, preferably in utility, telecoms or financial services industries
• Strong technical knowledge of marketing communications – particularly below the line
• Ability to understand complex issues and communicate complex information
• Excellent creative judgement & copywriting skills
• Experience in managing marketing communications agencies – including tight management of operational budgets
• Must be able to operate at all levels of the business
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skill
