Our client has a requirement for a dedicated Materials Planner. The company's products are manufactured at several locations throughout the world and have a limited shelf life making efficient planning critical to the profitability of the business.
We are looking to recruit a Materials Planner, and this role will report directly into the Supply Chain Manager.
The Role
■The Materials Planner will be responsible for the lean positioning of 150+ SKU's, over several warehouse locations; delivering >98% OTIF deliveries to international customers.
■ Responsible for the management of vendors and for reducing working capital that is tied up in stock.
■The material planner will be capable of demonstrating their results by defining, building and presenting key performance matrices.
■They will work closely with the demand planner and customer services team to ensure that they are informed with the most up to date information and that this information is translated into a plan.
■The materials planner will be responsible for the master data required to drive the SAP MRP system.
■Initial responsibilities will be to blueprint and then oversee the development and implementation of SAP MRP, ensuring it is fully integrated with web shop and demand plans and is driving efficiencies throughout.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
■ A minimum of a Diploma in a Supply Chain/Materials Management related qualification.
■ Minimum of three years' planning experience with a FMCG company
■ Experience of working with food grade materials is an advantage
■ Have good computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
■ Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
■ Logical and numerical
■ Good communicator
■ Good commercial/financial understanding
■ Experience with SAP MRP/Procurement & SD Modules would be an advantage
■ Experience and understanding of SAP Master Data
■ The ability to work on one’s own initiative and a proven track record in meeting goals.
