Overview of Role
As Assistant Support Worker you will be required to provide an excellent level of Care to individuals and manage all aspects of the day to day care requirements of our clients. The main purpose of the job is to help clients and families cope with social, emotional, health, economic and environmental difficulties and to help individuals retain independence and live as normal and fulfilling a life as possible in the community. The wishes of clients and their families are of vital importance in formulating any plans
Purpose of Role
The purpose of the role is to support the individual and their families in a caring and responsible way.
Reporting To The post holder reports directly to their Care Manager
Overview of Responsibility
Responsible for effective implementation of the individuals care plan Ensure that the clients goals and needs are met at all times
Performs duties as assigned on the personal Care Plan of the Client
Ensure the Activities of Daily Living are carried out in a caring and gentle manner including bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming.
Provides light housekeeping tasks including laundry and changing bed linen
Assists the client with movement as specified in the Care Plan Reminds Client to take self-administered medication
Uses equipment and supplies safely and properly
Adopts legible, efficient report writing methods when compiling all daily, accident or incident reports. Accompany the client to appointments or social activities
