The purpose of this role is to assist the Store Manager to oversee the management and continuous development of a the store through the direction and motivation of the store teams, ensuring strong retail disciplines are in place, implementation of plans, and consistency of standards across the store.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assisting the Store Manager in the achievement of financial targets set by the company. Taking responsibility for the general management of the shop when required.
- Providing direction, support and development to ensure the store objectives are met and continuously improved upon.
- Identifying colleagues who have the potential to move forward in the business by establishing succession planning through ongoing coaching, mentoring and development.
- Adherence to all employment legislation and company policies
- Ensuring excellence in customer service at all times
- Ensuring that the store achieves over 80% in the operations and formal Food Safety audit
- Ensuring that all labour, stock control, ordering and margins are documented and communicated in accordance with required procedures
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Successful track record at managing people at Duty Manager level.
- Proven track record in achieving QA results.
- Minimum of 1 year management experience in grocery retail industry.
