In partnership with my client the world leading online gaming company Big Fish Games we are currently recruiting Linguistic Testers across the following languages; Swedish and Brazilian Portuguese to join their new and leading HQ based in Cork. This brand new base facilitates customers throughout Europe where they are successfully driving the world of interactive entertainment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated and talented individuals who wish to progress their career in linguistics. Here you will work closely with localization translators and site coordinators in the US to ensure linguistic quality on a large volume of new PC titles. The successful candidates MUST have a deep interest in languages and Big Fish Games products. Hence, we are looking for native speakers with excellent English in the above mentioned languages.
The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure and enjoy new challenges. The main body of this role will involve language editing and localization testing on a variety of games - playing beta versions of the game to ensure the correct translations.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or language/ linguistic field
• 6+ months experience games testing
• Must be fluent in English and one of the following language; Swedish or Brazilian Portuguese (Native Tongue strongly preferred)
• Must be passionate about video games, and have a conceptual understanding of the online gaming industry
• Strong customer orientation, both internally and externally
• Tenacity, attention to detail, excellent organizational, multi-tasking skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills are key
• Must be able to work independently at all times
• Ability to be a team player while working in a culturally diverse environment, while shining as an individual and maintaining a sense of humor
• Excellent computer skills and MS Office knowledge
