Our client, a leading multi-national FDA regulated manufacturing company, currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Systems Engineer for their facility which is based in the Waterford area (commutable from Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Tipperary and possibly Cork).

The Person:

  • Extensive CMMS experience is essential, preferably with PEMAC5.
  • BPCS Knowledge & experience.
  • Previous experience managing/maintaining best-practice Inventory Management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy, especially in Database/Excel.
  • Demonstrated capability to effectively lead a cross-functional team to deliver key metrics.
  • 5 years + experience working in a highly regulated, automated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical / leadership / coaching qualities with a methodical, data-driven approach.
  • Ability to lead, drive change and build group morale and commitment.
Desirable:

  • Degree level/ Technician qualified in relevant Engineering/Maintenance/Inventory discipline.
Responsibilities:

CMMS:

  • Maintenance & Upkeep of site CMMS (PEMAC5).
  • Lead and drive Planned Interventions Team to ensure Operations equipment is kept running, in compliance, in a rapidly expanding highly automated environment.
  • System Administrator for site CMMS.
  • Lead regular site-wide review of all PM schedules to ensure best practice.
  • Ensure CMMS is leveraged to encompass all Planned and Unplanned maintenance activities.


General:

  • Ensure ongoing optimal self and team development through effective performance management reviews and individual development plans.
  • Adhere to, and implement, Company and Statutory Hygiene,GMP, Quality, Safety and Environmental policies and directives.
  • Develop & implement ongoing, effective, training for all direct reports.
  • Provide technical assistance and expertise: assist in analysing, troubleshooting and rectifying root-cause of plant/equipment failures.
  • Ensure ongoing reporting and recording of all relevant information by direct reports to ensure correct measurement of maintenance metrics.
