My client is a multinational TMT (technology, media, telecoms) with operations in Ireland and overseas.
Job Description:
A requirement has arisen to hire a financial revenue accountant with responsibility for enterprise revenue accounting within the pan-European business.
Roles/Responsibilities:
* Responsible for accounting for enterprise revenue within defined territory in accordance with US GAAP and SOX requirements on revenue recognition
* Calculation of rebates due based on actual revenue, and comparison against revenue forecast/costs from finance operations teams
* Validation of accruals at month end for discussion with senior management based on monthly costs and invoices received
* Working closely with sales personnel to advise on all aspects of potential sales contracts with customers
* Liaise with European sales teams to obtain signed contracts and critical review of terms of contract
* Co-ordination of monthly and quarterly reporting for internal purposes in addition to audit requirements
* Support monthly close and quarterly/annual audit requirements
Skills/Experience:
* 2 years general accounting experience within a multinational environment
* Prior experience in revenue recognition/revenue accounting preferred
* US GAAP/SOX experience favourable
* Knowledge of Oracle Financials or similar accounting package preferable
* Knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
* Advanced Excel
Education / Professional Qualifications:
* ACCA Certified / ACA Chartered / CIMA Qualified Accountant
