Essential Criteria:
•Degree qualified in Chemistry, (PhD or MSc an advantage).
•Minimum of 5 years industrial experience in the Polymer / Polymer coatings/ medical Polymer field.
•In depth knowledge of polymer structure property relationships.
•Comfortable working in a lab environment individually and as part of a team.
•Familiarity with medical device regulatory standards an advantage.
•The successful candidate must be an innovative, creative and lateral thinker. Be self-motivating, hands on, highly organized with good communication skills and strong problem solving abilities.
Key Accountabilities:
•Develop innovative and functional biomedical materials from first principles.
•Provide technical input and support of existing material technologies.
•Work with interdisciplinary team to develop new medical products.
•Communicate effectively with team members from varied technical backgrounds.
•Keep up to date on the latest activities and market trends / competitor products.
•Develop strong working relationships with existing key external partners.
