We are currently looking to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer to work with us at one of our clients’ Irish medical device manufacturing facilities in Tipperary. You will have a proven track record in a Medical Device or Pharmaceutical field and have previous experience in engineering support roles in a high volume, highly regulated environment.

SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide QA support/liaison with Supplier Development/Management group and Strategic Sourcing in the supplier selection assessment and approval process.
  • Assess supplier performance and coordinate supplier non conformances and corrective actions based on performance.
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Provide input on changes including design changes to material / component specifications.
  • Developing, applying, revising and maintaining quality standards for SQA / Purchasing control activities in compliance with CFPs/CFMs etc
  • Liaise with supplier development and strategic sourcing in the maintenance and performance of suppliers.
  • Communicate non-conformances to suppliers through Supplier Corrective Action report (SCAR) process and ensure timely closure of all open actions.
  • Respond to and participate in corective action implementation for identified internal audits.
  • Review and approval of the completely batch record files to assure correct disposition of inspected materias as required.
  • Must be able to accomplish broad and complex assignments.
REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will have:

  • BSc or BEng in a related field with 8+ years experience
  • Experience in supplier management with a knowledge of problem solving methodologies
  • Strong mix of technical experience along with supplier management experience
  • Come from a regulated environment, ideally medical device.
